And in a welcome twist of fate, the pandemic, which has shuttered so many small businesses, actually boosted Blondery’s sales, likely because of the direct-to-consumer model
Don’t be dismayed if you see “sold out,” by Blondery’s offerings. They restock every Sunday, so plan accordingly.
Auzerais Bellamy's limited-release bakery Blondery stacks bliss on bliss on bliss.
Owner and professional pastry chef Auzerais Bellamy reached out and let me know about the bakery’s newest summery sweet: an 11 layer strawberry cake and coinciding cake jars. They’re gluten free with strawberry blondies, chantilly cream, buttercream, and more. It was SUCH a special treat to receive one and each spoonful tasted like pure luxury. (Not sponsored, genuinely loved it!)
During the pandemic she came up with a knockout new way to showcase her namesake blondie brownies. “I was bored. Then I thought: ‘I’ll make a cake on Instagram Live and raffle it off. And it worked.”
How do you convey to people who aren’t rooting for you, how to support you?
If you follow even one food influencer on social media, chances are you have seen the insanely beautiful creations from Auzerais Bellamy, owner of Blondery.
Owner Auzerais Bellamy trained in Michelin-starred restaurants including New York’s Bouchon Bakery, and according to legend, spent three years perfecting her recipe for these Pecan and Salted Caramel blondies. I’m convinced!
Three words: Brooklyn. Blackout. Blondies. Pastry chef Auzerais Bellamy was famous for her pecan and salted caramel blondies, among others, and decided to start Blondery, shipping her chicly packaged blondie bars nationwide.
Bellamy donated 50 percent of sales from her Brooklyn Blackout Blondies during the bake sale period to the Equal Justice Initiative
Put your money where your mouth is.
Blondery was founded by Auzerais Bellamy and offers premium and handmade blondies. Her shop opens up on November 1st, but you are able to order her sampler box to help you make your decision when her full inventory opens back up.
We’ve sold around 100 boxes, and we’ve just restocked another 20,” Bellamy says. “We’re going to keep going until we sell out again.
This is the perfect tiny treat to gift to someone you’re sweet on.
